Most climbs start and finish in Moshi, the gateway town at the foot of Kilimanjaro. We book a comfortable hotel or lodge for the nights before and after your trek, so you can rest, meet your guide for the gear check and celebrate your summit with a hot shower.

Keys Hotel Moshi
Keys Hotel Limited was founded with a principal purpose of enhancing the fulfillment of Kilimanjaro climbers’ dream that is ‘be at the top of Africa’. Mount Kilimanjaro View Lodge
Mount Kilimanjaro View lodge (MKVL) is a small, traditional lodge nestled against a tropical rain forest high above the tourist “Gateway to Mt. Kilimanjaro’’, Moshi, on the rolling slopes of world-famous Mount Kilimanjaro (“kill’’ to locals). Since opening in 2006, we have had a pleasure of serving guests from over 80 countries throughout the world.
The authentic African lodge is conveniently located on the southern slop of this magnificent mountain 16km. (10 miles) from Moshi town, “The Gateway to mount Kilimanjaro’’, it is a true sanctuary with waterfalls, beautiful plants, colorful bird and wildlife. Guests enjoy a breathtaking view of Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Mawenzi and Mount Meru, as well as a stunning panoramic view of the vast and diverse valley below. Mount Kilimanjaro View Lodge offers an opportunity to live the culture in a peaceful, undisturbed setting.
Marangu Hotel
This beautifully situated hotel, on the slopes of Kilimanjaro, stands in twelve acres of mature, well laid out gardens. It has a fine variety of exotic trees and flowering shrubs. From the gardens there are magnificent views to be had of Kilimanjaro, with its larger peaks of ice-capped kibo and rocky Mawenzi.
Altezza Lodge
The lodge is located in Moshi Town; Altezza lodge offers spectacular views on Mount Kilimanjaro. Tastefully refurbished, this place is a unique fusion of comfort, hospitality and easy access to the Kilimanjaro International Airport.
The lodge has nine cosy bright bedrooms, each with a private bathroom, fridge, telephone, air conditioner, kettle and tea/coffee making items. Secure parking is available along with free Wi-Fi
Leisure and entertainment area is available. The guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant, bar, garden and the outdoor swimming pool.
On the mountain
On the Marangu route you sleep in mountain huts with mattresses and lights. Every other route is a camping route, with our two-person tents, sleeping mats and a mess tent for meals. See our huts and tents.
